Pineapple & Chilli Salsa topped Gammon Steak
Unsmoked gammon steak cooked to perfection.
Grilled for succulence and topped with a fruity salsa with a chilli kick. Always a crowd pleaser.
Serves 1.
Ingredients:
225g Large Unsmoked Gammon Steak
Little oil, for brushing
100g Skin on Fries
Pinch of Salt
Salsa:
75g Fresh Pineapple, finely chopped
1 Small Red Chilli, de-seeded and finely chopped
20g Red Onion, finely chopped
1 tbsp Lime juice
METHOD:
First, make the salsa: mix together the pineapple, red chilli, red onion and lime juice then set aside while you cook the gammon.
Pop the skin on fries in the oven for the required time.
Pre-heat a grill to a medium heat. Grill the gammon steak turning every 3-4 minutes until golden in colour and cooked through.
Serve the gammon with the salsa spooned over the top and a good portion of skin on fries.
